On Sunday our phoenix explorers took advantage of the weather and hiked from Bushmills Tramline to the Giants Causeway then via the coast all the way to Dunseverick Castle. These days away give our explorers the chance to relax and unwind from their busy exam study timetable but also give them a feel for hiking of road in preparation for starting DofE later this year. We will continue these sorts of activities progressively getting longer and more remote, of the beaten trail…..
The Scouts, Explorers and parents spent the day bag packing at ASDA in Coleraine where a fantastic figure of £935.03 was raised. The money goes towards the Croatia trip and the planned group camp.
Our thanks go out to all customers, staff of ASDA for their generosity and making a hard day’s work enjoyable.
On Saturday 1st December, we were delighted to have many volunteers from Scouts, Explorers and their parents to assist in our fundraising Bag Packing at Asda, Coleraine.
We raised a fantastic amount of £469, and would like to thank Asda, its staff & customers for their continued and generous support.
On Saturday 2nd June Ballymoney Scouts and Explorers packed bags at Tesco Ballymoney. We raised £565.50. This money will be used to buy camping equipment for the group, which will be very useful in the upcoming district camp, which will be the first time we will have the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers camping together.
We would like to thank all who helped pack bags, Tesco’s and their staff for their support, and their customers for their generosity.
From 12 noon until 5pm on Saturday 12th November we will be packing bags at Tesco in Ballymoney to help raise funds for our Scout Group. The plan is to have two shifts – one from 12 to 2.30pm and the second from 2.30pm to 5pm – so that 2½ hours is the most you will be expected to do.
We would ask for as many scouts (in uniform) and helpers as possible please to help with our efforts.
In the past this type of project has been a successful fundraiser, as well as a good method of raising public awareness of Ballymoney Scouts. We appeal to scouts, parents, family and friends for help. See you there…
