Many of our scouts took part in our Autumn camp at the weekend. 11 of our eldest scouts explored the North Down Coastal path, travelling by train from Ballymoney then on foot from Holywood to Crawfordsburn Scout Campsite. The rest travelled by minibus to the campsite with a stop off at Tesco for camp shopping.
When everyone met together at the campsite it was time to set up camp. The exploration scouts were cooking dinner on trangias while everyone else had food cooked centrally on our stoves. After dinner some free time for climbing trees, dancing on stage and playing hide and seek. Then a short walk around site before enjoying some s’mores at the campfire circle. Some more chilling with camp mates before a cheeky Dominoes pizza delivery.
Sunday morning up and ready for action, they completed a blind trail, airsoft target shooting and axe throwing. Lunch, capture the flag and then it was time to pack up and head home on the minibus together. It was a very quiet trip home 😴 A great camp with lovely weather and growing friendships 🥰
