Recently Beavers made bird feeders with lard, seeds, cheese, apples, oats and dried bugs. They used cookie cutters to make shapes and strings were added for hanging. Our walk to place them in the local park had to be postponed due to storm Chandra. Instead they completed the Builder activity badge with a lodge challenge. They had to try to complete 10 builds with their lodge mates, with a lodge point awarded for each successful build. Then this week we wrapped up warm and got out to place the bird feeders around the Riverside Park. Back to the hall for some hot chocolate with mini marshmallows to warm up.
