At the weekend some Beavers had a sleepover at our hall. They started off with a superhero fitness session ran by two explorers. Lots of exercises, game of tag with a hero and villain theme and an obstacle course. They thanked Reuben and Alfie for their expertise and time before starting meal prep. Safely chopping sausages, chicken, mushrooms and peppers for pizza toppings. While waiting for their dinner to cook it was time to choose their superhero outfits. After they were fed and transformed into superheroes, they were given their 1st mission. Find all the leaders stolen pets around the town using maps. Mission complete then weapons training, with soft axe throwing and soft archery. Tents up, PJs on and a movie with popcorn to finish a busy evening!
They had to finish watching The Incredibles the next morning, then pack away tents and bags, before they were given their 2nd mission. One of our leaders had gone rogue and stolen a box of heroes chocolates. They had to follow her trail, which led them to Megaw park where they hunted her down. She admitted the error of her ways and shared the chocolates with them all. An hour to play in the park before tired legs walked back to the hall. All Beavers on camp received their Superhero camp badge and a certificate to say they were certified heroes. Well done everyone ππ»ππ»ππ»
