Scouts had a stave game to start off tonight and then learned how to make a tripod lashing tonight. Then they added tarps etc so they had shelters to hide behind for nerf team games. As we have a large group of scouts we had to split them in half …. Some playing nerf games and some enjoying tuck shop and hanging out. Then swap over. Some very competitive scouts 💪🏼
This week we were listening to 5 of our Beavers who have been working on their hobby badges. They stood in front of the whole colony and shared their hobby with us. Tonight’s hobbies were drawing, Lego, craft/fishing, Judo and board games. After each Beaver spoke the other beavers had a chance to ask some questions. Well done to all of you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We also had a lodge challenge to earn lodge points – crossing the lava field (hall) using their stepping stones (carpet tiles) – and a 5 minute game of football.
Tonight Beavers started the Health and fitness badge (chosen by them during a you shape evening). We tackled the fitness part tonight with lots of exercises (jogging, planks, star jumps, squats to name a few), feeling our heart rates and playing agility games.
A wee game of crab football and then we invested 10 of our new Beavers (those who weren’t there will get invested the next time they attend). Our Beavers promised “To do their best, to be kind and helpful, and to love our world” ⚜️🦫
