Scouts PL & APL Training Day

A training day has been planned for our Scout Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders. This will take place at 72 Kilhoyle Road, on Sunday 29th January from 10am until 4pm. The day will consist of skills and leadership training. All participants should wear warm clothing suitable for outdoor activities, and bring a waterproof coat and outside footwear. Lunch will be provided, and scouts will be pleased to hear that a chocolate cake has been promised! Please confirm with Kevin or Helen if you can attend.

Archery Outing

For Scouts and Explorers, we have booked an evening with Ballymoney Archery Club on Friday 27th January. We will meet at the Archery Club at 7pm and will need to be collected from there again at 9pm. The cost of the evening is £6.

Dress code for the evening will be Ballymoney Hoodies and Knecker. If you do not have a Hoodie then wear uniform shirt and knecker with a warm jumper. For safety, please wear no loose jewellery, earrings etc, and have hair tied back if needed.
The shooting range is on Drumskea Road (just along the Bann Road coming out of Ballymoney). After you turn onto the Drumskea Road, travel about 1/4 – 1/2 mile and the range is in the green buildings on the right.

Duchess of Cambridge to volunteer with Scouts

The Duchess of Cambridge is to become a volunteer in the Scout Association, working with youngsters near her home in north Wales. The Scout Association has announced that the Duchess will be teaching boys – aged from six to 10 – a variety of skills including putting up tents and lighting fires. She will work with youngsters near her home on Anglesey, but will also assist in other areas of the UK.
